Poverty Alleviation Programme

OnGoing ProjectsBased on our Objectives, Goal, Mission and Vision, We have designed and developed following plans so that we can bring positive and sustainable change in the life of destitute, marginalized, underprivileged poor people reside in rural area and can also contribute little for achieving the Millennium Development Goal (M.D.G.).
Poverty Alleviation Programme:

As we know that, Poverty Alleviation is one of the Millennium Development Goal (M.D.G.) fixed by the United Nations Organization (U.N.O.). Besides it, we have developed and design our own programme such as Jharkhand “A Zero Beggar Zone”. Under these programme, approximately 500 households and 2500 individual members have been benefited by our own effort. In this financial year, our goal is to target 200 households to get them benefited through these programme.

Jharkhand “A Zero Beggar Zone” Programme: An Introduction
About Beggars

While working, we have experienced that Beggars are the most untouched group in our society, state and country. They are mentally, physically, socially, economically, psychologically backward. Unfortunately, since independence, no one development programmes/project have been designed or formulated in order to uplift the extremely bad circumstances and positive change in the life style of beggars and their family. The working conditions of beggars are a cause of occupational hazards. As a result, they have various health problems such as T.B., skin diseases, AIDS etc. It is seen that the brutal working conditions affect their health.

Due to shortage of money and nutritional food, their nutrition status is very low, generally they eat food from garbage, roadsides, begging etc. Beggars and their children don’t have any formal schooling because of poverty and poor economic status.

What Samparpan does

We, the Samarpan Charitable Trust felt internally the terribly bad scenario of the beggars and their family. We have identified this group and extremely ambitious to bring the positive change and socio-economic development of beggars and their family. Samarpan provides their basic needs (Shelter, Clothing and Food). The main objectives are the survival, protection and socio-economic development of these beggars and physically or mentally handicapped person.
